All the way back in 2006 Gees Voorhees and I, then working together as Dutch Dolls, created an interactive installation in children’s museum Villa Zebra in Rotterdam (NL). We built a hospital where kids could put together their own life-sized dolls by linking fabric body parts with snap-fasteners. More body parts were added in 2011 with the help of RenĂ©e Reijnders. The installation is still in use today and moved to a different part of the museum in 2021. I was asked to create some hand-written signs/speech bubbles to decorate the windows of this new space.
